AIRLINER LOST IN BLIZZARD
(Rec. 8 p.m.) NEW YORK. Nov. 7. A twin-engined airliner carrying 21 persons disappeared in swirling snow over the mountains south-east of Butte (Montana) this morning. The aeroplane apparently crashed in a blizzard on a towering Rocky Mountain peak. An aerial search has been halted because of the impossible flying weather, but a ground party is fighting treacherous weather at an 8300 ft level. Residents of. a nearby town reported hearing a crash and an explosion a few minutes after the aeroolane made its last communication with the local Civil Aeronautics Bureau station.
