FORMALITIES ON ENTERING N.Z.
SIR LEONARD ISITT URGES SIMPLIFICATION (New Zealand Press Association) WELLINGTON. November 8. Greatly simplified and speedier customs and immigration procedures for people travelling between Australia and New Zealand were advocated by the chairman of Tasman Empire Airways. Ltd. (Sir Leonard Isitt) on his arrival by dying boat from Sydney to-day. He referred to the travel facilities between Canada and the United States, and said he thought Australia and New Zealand should be closer together than the United States and Canada. He had no complaints to make about customs and immigration officials, but. he said. "It does seem unnecessary that passengers between Australia and New Zealapd should have to complete foar forms." He felt that much could be done to speed up and ease these formalities.
