FIVE O’CLOCK PARTY
A very pleasant 5 o’clock party was given in the Waldorf yesterday by members of the Christchurch branch of the Nga Tawa Old Giris’ Association and of the Christchurch branch of the Wanganui Collegiate School Old Boys’ Association. The guests were welcomed by Mr A. G. Kemp (president of the branch of Wanganui Old Boys) and Mrs Kemp, and by Mrs A. I. Cottrell, vice-president of the Nga Tawa group. Mrs Wemp, who was accompanied by her daughter-in-law. Mrs M. Kemp, of Hamilton, wore a frock of wine red silk crepe, a silver fox fur and small wine red hat. Mrs Cottrell wore a beige and brown suit, pink blopse, and beige and brown hat with upturned brim. The honorary secretary of the two branches, Miss F. O’Callaghan and Mr P. B. Austin, helped to ensure the enjoyment of those present. Specially invited guests were representatives of kindred associations of Craighead. St. Margaret’s College, Rangi-ruru, Nelson Girls* College, Otago Girls’ High School, Selwyn House, Woodford House, Wellington, Christ’s and Nelson Colleges.
