FISHING BOAT MAY BE IN DANGER
SEARCH SENT OUT FROM TIMARU
From Our Own Reporter TIMARU, November 8. The Pursuit, a Timaru fishing boat, with a crew of two, may be. in danger. The boat left Timaru about 11 a.m. yesterday for the fishing grounds, and the men intended to stay out all night.
About 9 o’clock this evening a green Very light was seen in a north-easterly direction from Timaru. The boat does not carry radio. The two men aboard are Messrs Ivan Fowler and William Eapsley, both ot Timaru. thought to be young men. The Seafarer, commanded by Mr J. Odey, and the Rimu, Mr W. Burns, both equipped with radio, left Timaru soon after midnight, to search for the Pursuit. Other fishing vessels will also watch out for the boat. The police, in charge of Senior-De-tective J. W. Hill, quickly organised the search.
