CONFERENCE TO DAY AT WELLINGTON

(New Zealand Press Association) WELUNGTON. Nov. 8. In an attempt to settle the dispute over waterfront carpenters’ wages. Which threatens to cause serious delay in the loading of overseas ships, a conference between four representatives of the Port Employers’ Association and four of the New Zealand Waterside Workers’ Union will be held at 2.15 p.m, to-moikow. The conference has been called ' by the Labour Department. Mr W. J. Gilmour, S.M., the Industrial Magistrate, who presided at the talks during the recent waterfront strike,, wilj again be chairman.
