GLENELG HEALTH CAMP
MEETING OF COMMITTEE “Last Sunday was visiting day at Glenelg, and the parents of the children who visited the camp were most complimentary in their remarks about the appearance of the children and the grounds and gardens at Glenelg,” said the matron, Mrs E. Morrison, in her report to a meeting of the camp management committee last evening. The 42 boys in camp, Mrs Morrison said, were of a somewhat restless type, but had all now settled dov/n happily. The head mistress (Miss Munday) reported that the children were well behaved, co-operative, and friendly. Arrangements were being made for the children in camp to be taken to suitable events in the centennial programme. Members undertook to work strenuously for the sale of health stamps early in this year’s campaign, which will begin on October 2. The school committee and finance committee submitted reports that were considered satisfactory. The receipt of £1 donation from Mrs W. Biggins, and of the gift of a crate of eggs from the Fernside branch of the Women’s Division of Federated Farmers, were gratefully acknowledged. Dr. J. Blakelock presided at the meeting.
