SWISS SKIER RETURNS
COACH AT CHATEAU TONGARIRO (New Zealand Press Association) AUCKLAND, May 29. Hoping to conduct a school for instructors before the season begins, Mr Walter Haensli, the Swiss ski-ing expert, returned to New Zealand by air from San Francisco yesterday. Since he was instructor at the Chateau Tongariro last winter. Mr Haensli has instructed at Sun Valley, in the United States. He has been asked to coach the American women’s ski team which will be selected next year for the 1952 Olympic Games. He coached the winning United States team in 1948. ‘‘l have arrived early to get everything ready for the start of the season,” said Mr Haensli. He has been re-engaged by the Tourist Department for the Chateau this winter.
