Green, of Christchurch, clocked 15.6 sec for the standing quarter-mile speed trial, which was held by the South Canterbury Car Club yesterday morning on the Pleasant Point highway. In recording this time. Green, it is thought, has ' established a new’ Australasian record, but it will be unofficial, as no stewards from the New Zealand Association of Car Clubs were present, and the event was run for members of the South Canterbury Club.
