FRONTIER TREATY DENOUNCED
HUNGARIAN NOTE TO JUGOSLAVIA
(Rec. 8.30 p.m.) LONDON, Nov. 5. Reuter’s Belgrade correspondent says that Hungary has denounced her frontier treaty of August 3 with Jugoslavia.
Reporting this, the Jugoslav Communist Party’s organ “Borba" said that the treaty, which provided for a joint commission to investigate frontier incidents, was “an obstacle to the Hungarian Government in realising its dark and non-peace-loving plans against Jugoslavia.” “Borba” said that Hungarian frontier guards fired almost every day on Jugoslav border patrols and provoked incidents.
U.S. Union Officials.—Mr Philip Murray, aged 62. was elected for his tenth term as president of the Congress of Industrial Organisations. The C. 1.0. national convention also reelected all its’ other national officers except rhe Communist. Mr Ben Gold, of the Fur and Leather Workers Union.—New York, November 4.
