NEW CABINET FORMED IN EGYPT

SIRRY PASHA REMAINS PRIME MINISTER (Rec. 7 p.m.) CAIRO, November 3, Hussein Sirry Pasha formed a new Egyptian Cabinet to-day, less than two hours after his resignation as Prime Minister The new Cabinet must be approved by King Farouk before it becomes official. All the members of the Cabinet are non-party statesmen. According to informed sources, the Cabinet will act as a caretaker Government until the General Election, which is expected to be held early next year.

The Cabinet which resigned to-day was a four-party coalition. It was formed last July “to alleviate the tension among the parties and prepare the way for free and healthy elections.”
