PIGEON FLYING
EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The East Christchurch Pigeon Flying Club held two races last week-end. One race was from Picton to Christchurch and the other was from Kaitoke. The Picton race was won by W. Goslin's bird, and W. Walls's bird won the Kaitoke race. The following are the results of the two races: Picton Race.—W. Goslin (1293 yards a minute) 1. R. Taylor (1290) 2, Crowther (1287) 3, T. Ball (1282) 4. R. Anderson (1282) 5. Time. 3 hours 52 minutes 25 seconds. Kaitoke Race.—W. Walls (1256.6) 1, W. Goslin (1256.2) 2, T. Ball (1254.8) 3, R. Spicer (1254.4) 4. V. Freeman (1253.8) 5. Time. 5 hours 9 minutes 26 seconds.
