TRAP SHOOTING

CHRISTCHURCH CLUB’S EVENT Good shooting was seen at the Christchurch Gun Club’s skeet shoot. Top scorers were A. N. Turner and J. Brightling, with 21 breaks each. . Four sweepstakes on five tracks, and a double rise were also shot off. In the first match D. W. Davison, A. J. Lancaster, W. Dean, and B. H. Sluis shot the possible and divided the stake. S. R. Marston, J, H. Hayes, S. Henderson, and R. Dobson secured second place, with foui* breaks. The second match was for 10 targets, and was won by Sluis, who secured 10 breaks, and the first prize money. Davison took second prize money with nine breaks, and A. N. Turner, N. Inwood Hayes, Henderson, and L. Lanauze with eight breaks divided .the balance of the stake. The third match was also for 1C targets. Possible scores were returned by Turner. Davison. A. J. Lancaster, and Inwood, who divided the stake. Next besl scores were: S. R. Marston, Hayes, Henderson. Dobson, C. Booker, nine; Sluis J. Manson, F. Ridden, A. P. Chamberlain and P. Clinton, eight breaks. S W. Geddes and Chamberlain, with the possible, divided first and second prize money in the fourth match, a 10-targel gimcrack. Davison, with nine breaks took third prize money. Marston, Hayes Sluis. and Manson secured eight breaks. A double rise of 10 targets was the concluding event. N. Inwood, Sluis, Marston and Chamberlain, with seven breaks divided the stake. —Mr A.
