AMERICAN CARS IN AUCKLAND
STATEMENT BY MR NASH (P.A.) AUCKLAND. February 25. “Many people have commented on the number of American motor-cars that have appeared recently in Auckland,” the Minister of Customs (Mr Nash) told an interviewer to-day. He did not think there had been any licences issued during the last 12 months for cars from the United States. He added that an American could bring his own car into the try. What possibly had caused comment, Mr Nash said, was that someone in Wellington had brought in some Packards on a 1947 licence.
