FOOD RATIONING IN FRANCE
“ABOLITION IN A FEW WEEKS ” PARIS, February 20. Food rationing in France would be abolished in a few weeks, said the Under-Secretary for the Budget (Mr Gaure). The anounneement will greatly strengthen the hands of Government candidates in the March departmental elections. The chief items at present rationed are butter, milk, oils, fats, sugar, and coffee.
