HOLLAND AND REDMOND ' RIDE WELL CHRISTCHURCH SPEEDWAY Riding with skill and judgment, M. Holland was the most successful rider at the Christchurch Speedway on Saturday evening. His quick starting and his ability to save ground on the bends were his main assets. Others to ride well were T. Redmond, B. Bowe (Wellington), and B. Philp. Four riders fell during the events, but only one, L. Moore, was hurt. He was badly shaken and was taken to hospital for observation. An attempt by T. Redmond to break K. Hayden’s four laps (flying start) record of 84 4-ssec was successful. He handled his machine splendidly to lower the record by two seconds. Results:— Christchurch Handicap.—First heat: M.
