Carpenters’ Award Proceedings.— The payment of travelling time and fares to carpenters for suburban work was discussed in the Arbitration Court in Wellington yesterday, when the hearing of claims for a new Carpenters’ and Joiners’ Award wag concluded. It was suggested that in certain cases similar provisions might be argued to apply to all other workers. After hearing further evidence on many points, the Court reserved its finding.—(P.A.)
