COUNCIL OF WOMEN
ANNUAL CONFERENCE The annual Dominion conference of the National Council of Women will be held next week in Auckland, commencing on Tuesday morning and finishing on Thursday night. About 80 delegates from all parts of the Dominion are expected to attend. It is 11 years since the last conference was held in Auckland. In conjunction with the National Council meeting there will be an exhibition of garments, household appliances, footwear, furniture. and other commodities presented by the New Zealand Standards Institute. The goods shown will be made to national standards of quality, and will bear the standard mark. The display has been arranged at the request of the National Council of Women, but it will be open to all women and not just to members of the council. It will be held next Tuesday and Wednesday in the vestibule of the chief post office. TOWNSWOMEN’S GUILD (P.A.) WELLINGTON, Sept. 23.
