THE BUDGET
Sir, —After listdking to the portentous and extremely enlightening speech delivered by the Minister of Finance (Mr Walter Nash) on Sunday night, one would think that New Zealand was populated by a race of mental defectives. Might I congratulate him on the excellent simplicity of his explanation?—Yours, etc.. , CAN’T SEE FOR LOOKING. August 23 1948.
