FOOD FOR SCHOOLS IN BRITAIN
Twenty-eight cases of food were sent to the United Kingdom in the Norfolk on July 9, under the bulk scheme by which schools in New Zealand can send food in bulk to schools in England, said the secretary of the Aid for Britain committee, Christchurch (Mr T. W Smith) yesterday. The cases were valued at £95, and weighed 1363 pounds. The schools contributing were as follows: —from Christchurch West High School, to Small Heath Grammar School, Waverley, Birmingham; from Mouteka District High School, to Duchess School, Alnwick, Northumberland; from Avonside Girls’ High School, to Burgoyne Road School, Walklay, Sheffield; from Girls’ High School, to Wallasy Girls’ High School, Cheshire, ,
