ROUTES CANADIAN PLANES TO BE BOUGHT LONDON, July 16. Because of the immediate need for aeroplanes that can be operated on an economic basis, the British Government has decided to buy a number of Canadian aircraft for service on British Overseas Airways Corporation routes, says the diplomatic correspondent of the “Daily Herald.” This is a short-term policy, the correspondent adds, and is designed to bridge the gap in British production of suitable passenger-carrying types.
