IMMIGRATION MEETING AT NEW BRIGHTON
Resolutions recommending the Government to organise an immediate programme for fee immigration of 100 children to homes which could be already provided in Canterbury, and an accelerated long-term immigration programme, were passed at a meeting of New Brighton residents last evening. The meeting was convened by the canterbury Immigration Association to Tester public interest in immigration, and was addressed by two members of the association, Messrs 3. 3. B. Connor and D. Ames.
