PIGEON RACING
EAST CHRISTCHURCH CLUB The East Christchurch Racing Pigeon Club held two races on Saturday, one a two-bird race from Parnassus and the other a flock race frofri Kaifcoura, The times were slightly slower than usual. Birds from the loft of R. J. Crowther were successful in each race. Results:—’ ° Parnassus Two-Bird Race.—Nominated bird prize; T. Ball’s No. 286. J. Crowther, 1368 yards a minute, 1; T. Bail, 1368, 2; M. Hoxman, 1360, 3; R. G. Beil, 13M, 4; R. Anderson, 1355, 5. The winning team cpv-, ered the distance of 77 miles 1435 yards in Jhr 40min 3sec. ♦ Kaikoura Flock Race.—Nominated bird prize: J. Crowther’s No. 18. J. Crowther, IJ3O yards a minute, 1; R. Moore’s No. 75, HIB, 2; W. Walls’s No, HO. Hl7. 3; P. Kither’s no; 353, HlO. 4; K. Hill's No M, 1107.8, 5. The winning bird flew the du. tance of 104 miles 654 yards in for 43mln 2gsec.
