“POLICY BASED ON CHARTER” (Rec. 8 p.m.) LONDON, January 12. It seemed that some nations were not prepared to operate the United Nations Charter said the British Minister of State (Mr Hector McNeil) in a speech at Glasgow. “The British Government will kow-tow to no one and will continue as a mandated Government which is pledged to base its policy on the United Nations Charter,” ne said. The outlook abroad was not as good as it was at home, but he did not mean by that that there was immediate fear of war.
