RAM AND EWE FAIR DATES
“There should be closer co-opera-tion between the two societies on the allocation of ram and ewe fair dates,” said Mr R. T. McMillan at a meeting of the general committee of the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association yesterday, when a list of ram and ewe fair dates for tne 1948 season drawn up by the North Canterbury Stock and Station Agents’ Association was received.
“The auctioneers always used to come and confer with us—it is up to them to be nice to us still,” said Mr E. S. Taylor. It was decided to'ask the Stock and Station Agents’ Association to confer more closely with the Agricultural and Pastoral Association in the selection of dates in future.
