Scout Parade Through City To-day.
—Members of the Boy Scout organisation who attended the world scout jamboree in Paris recently will march through Christchurch to-day, across the Bridge of Remembrance to the New Zealand Industries Fair in the King Edward’ Barracks. The scouts will perform hakas, and a talk will be given by Mr Winston Rhodes on how young people can assist Rewi Alley’s work in China among destitute children. The scout parade will be led by the band of the Christchurch Boys’ High School in honour of Rewi Alley, who is an old boy of the school. Earl Mountbatten’s Barony.— The King has conferred the barony title of Baron Romsey on Earl Mountoatten of Burma. —Loudon, October 28.
