VICTORY PARK BOARD
SUCCESSFUL YEAR’S WORK The annua] meeting of the Victory Park Board was held last evening. The chairman (Mr R. Beattie), discussing the annual balance sheet, said last year was a most favourable one. Lancaster Park had been kept in very good order and there had been some noteworthy visits from sporting teams. Gate takings increased from" £2581 to £3415. The profit of £1919 was greater than the £230 derived in the previous year when repairs had to be made after occupation by the army. The net accumulated fund increased from £9663 to £11,287, and assets totalled £15.060. Total cash and Government stock amounted to £5884. The following officers were elected:— chairman. Mr G. E. King; deputy chairman. Mr V. L. Jensen; grounds committee, Messrs Jensen, W. J. Hamilton, H. H. Wauchop.
