STARTING FOREST FIRES ALLEGED
MAN ARRESTED IN NEW YORK (Rec. 9 p m.) NEW YORK, October 28. The police arrested Harry Anderson, aged 29. of Brooklyn. New York, on a charge of starting five forest fires in Pike County. The police said that Anderson, who was arrested while he was setting the fifth fire, gave no explanation for his incendiarism. A message from Johnson. Pennsylvania, says that a 12-year-old boy was accused to-day of starting a forest fire by pouring cleaning • fluid on a cat. setting fire to it. and turning it loose The cat ran into tall grass, and started a fire which burned for two hours. The father of the boy said he had whipped him soundly, and would not permit him to leave home to play for a month. The fire chief said he had not decided whether to seek Juvenile Court action against the boy.
