YESTERDAY IN THE HOUSE
(From Our Parliamentary Reporter.) WELLINGTON, October 30. The House of Representatives spent most of a long day on the second reading of the Workers’ Compensation Amendment Bill and the second reading was passed at 12.35 a.m. to-day The debate ran its full course and the {rovernment did not use the closure so end it. The House rose at 12.40 am. T. H. McCombs, the new Minister of Education, introduced his first bill as a Cabinet Minister yesterday, the Adult Education Bill. House decided to confer with the Legislative Council on the amendments to the Riccarton Bush Amendment Bill.
