POLICE AND CHILDREN
Sir,—ls it the usual practice of the police to interview children at school, unknown to the parents? The two girls concerned are six and eight years old and the interview had nothing whatsoever to do with the headmaster or schpol. We are beginning to wonder if it is safe to send children of *such tender years to such schools.—Yours, etc.. * PROTECT CHILDREN. September 30. 1947. [lnspector P. Felton, who is in charge of the Central Police Station during the absence of the Superintendent (Mr H. Scott) said he had ho comment tr make when this letter was referred to him.]
