Road Service Review. Contrapt and tourist road services will be reviewed to save petrol. This was announced by the No. 1 Transport Licensing Authority (Mr E. J. Phelaip in Auckland on Saturday. Touriat service licences could be greatly reduced, he said, and some reduction!* probably could be made on contract services where vehicles were hired to i travel great distances for sport or t pleasure. There was no intention of reducing the ordinary passenger ser- * vices. He proposed introducing a . policy of tourist licences being subject ’ to control only by a recognised tourist agency.—(PJL)
