CHOLERA IN EGYPT
661 DEATHS RECORDED EPIDEMIC SPREADS TO PALESTINE (Rec. 7 p.m.) LONDON, October 1. Deaths from cholera in Egypt have reached 661. There were 58 deaths during the 24 hours ended 6 p.m. yesterday, and also 114 new cases and 87 suspected cases.
After two cases of cholera had been reported in Gaza, in southern Palestine, the authorities sent away all Arabs employed in military camps and told them not to return until further notice. The cases, are the first in Palestine since the epidemic developed in Egypt. t
