HOUSE ENTERED AT KUMARA
LARGE SUM OF MONEY STOLEN A large sum of money was stolen from the residence of Mr and Mrs J. F. Gilbert. Second street, Kumara, on Friday night. Mr and Mrs Gilbert attended an evening social in the district. and on their return home about 2 a.m. on Saturday they found that illegal entry had been gained to the house, and it was obvious that there had been a search for valuables. The money which is missing, it is believed, was removed from a drawer. The police are investigating.
