THANKS FROM ENGLAND

Sir, —Would you be so kind as to insert my greatest thanks to some kind and generous person who sent me a parcel of soap, soap powder, jelly and several tins of most valuable food. It would give me very great pleasure if I could write and thank the sender personally, but the label and the sender’s name were torn off the outside and there was no name inside. It was wrapped in your newspaper dated Saturday. May 10, 1947. I do hope your kind folks will in future put their name and addresses inside when they are sending to England such valuable contents, of which we are so much in need.—Yours, etc., E., JARVIS. 21 Woolwich road, Bfcxleyheath, Kent, England. July 6, 1947.
