RICE BEATS WRIGHT (P.A.) HASTINGS. August 25.
Jim Wright was disqualified in the seventh round of a professional wrestling contest at Hastings to-night when he refused to allow his opponent, Tom Rice, to re-enter the ring after he had been thrown over the top rope. Before that Rice had obtained a fall <in the third round with a press following flying tackles, and Wright had equalised in the fifth with a press. There was only a fair attendance. MCCREADY AND O’TOOLE DRAW (P.A.) AUCKLAND. August 25.' Earl McCready, 17st 61b. and Tom O’Toole. 17st. wrestled a draw this evening. McCready obtained a fall with a rocking-chair splits in the fourth round, and O’Toole evened with a fall after three flying tackles in the seventh.
