Monkey in Girl’s Bedroom
To find a monkey from the Wellington Zoo resting in her bedroom was the unusual and frightening experience of a girl living in Roy street, about 100 yards from the zoo. on Sunday afternoon. The monkey got out because someone had prised the lock off its cage door. For the first five minutes, the monkey sat on the top of its cage, but made off to the house on the approach of the keepers with their nets. Within another five or 10 minutes it had been caught.
