THE REV. H. L. R. ISHERWOOD, vicar of Mount Albert, Auckland, since 1938, who has been appointed vicar of St. John’s, Latimer square. Mr Isherwood was ordained a deacon in 1926 and a priest in 1927, and has served in the Auckland diocese throughout his ministry. He was the first clergyman to act as a chaplain to' the Royal New' Zealand Air Force, officiating at Hobsonvile air base from 1936 to 1938, and again from 1940 to 1942. He was later senior chaplain in the Northern Military District.
