FREE KINDERGARTEN UNION
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, August 22. To-day was the final day of the biennial conference in Wellington of the New Zealand Free Kindergarten Union. The annual meeting was held in the afternoon, and officers elected and it was decided that an assistant secretary be appointed. The resignation of Lady Sidey as vice-president was received with regret. Officers elected were:—president, Mrs J- A Doctor; vice-presidents, Mesdames Hadfield (Christchurch), Smeeton (Dunedin), J. Wilson (Hastings). Miss Jameson (Hamilton). Mesdames Ross (Hokitika), Fulton (Ashburton), Aldridge (Invercargill). Baldwin (Lower Hutt), C. J. Williams (Masterton), and Hanan (Timaru); honorary secretary. Miss M. England. These officers also comprise the executive.
