LEAGUE FOR THE HARD OF HEARING
The final afternoon social of the current term was held this week in the rooms of the League for the Hard of Hearing. These afternoon gatherings are being held twice monthly. The form of entertainment provided has proved so popular that it was decided to make no change in the programme; and there was a large attendance of members taking advantage of the last opportunity for a few weeks to enjoy the society of their friends at the league.
Housing for Public Servants The Public Service Association conference yesterday decided to urge the Government to institute for the exclusive benefit of public servants under transfer some scheme of transit housing similar to that at present being operated by the Post and Telegraph Department for the use and benefit of its employees.
