BELFAST R.S.A. TO HOLD GARDEN COMPETITION
Mr N. D. Barker presided at the monthly meeting of the Belfast subbranch of the Returned Services’ Association, held recently in the clubrooms at Belfast, when a committee was elected to draw up rules for the garden competition amongst members, for which, several prizes have been given.
An invitation to members and their wives to inspect a large, modern factory in Papanui early in September was accepted, and dates were arranged for other social activities.
The president reported on the success of the social held recently to honour the patriotic and soldiers’ committee which did sue.. good work during the war years.
