With a total of 275 for 72 holes, Dai Rees won the "News-Chronicle” professional golf tournament by a margin of five strokes from his nearest competitor. Leading scores (last two rounds and aggregate) were: Rees, 71, 69—275; A. Harrison 67. 73—280; N. Von Nida 69. 70— 282; W. Smithers 71. 69—282; A. Lees 73. 73—286 Rees scored 68 and 67 in the first two rounds.
