PATRIOTIC FUNDS
1010 APPLICATIONS CONSIDERED
Since the last meeting of the council 1010 applications for assistance had been considered, said Mr W. S. MacGibbon, chairman of the Canterbury Provincial Patriotic Council, at a meeting of the council yesterday. Of this number 930, totalling £4483 7s 9d, had been granted and 46 deferred for further information.
The following delegates were appointed to the conference of provincial councils to be held on August 20 in Wellington, to consider the new constitution of the National Patriotic Fund Board: —Messrs W. S. Mac Gibbon, C. Miln, and P. G. Withers. -
