VICTORIA COLLEGE CABLE MESSAGES
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 29. Cablegrams have been sent to the Premier of New South Wales (Mr J. McGirr) and the Indonesian Foreign Minister (Dr. Sjahrir) by Victoria University College students.
The cablegram sent to the Premier of New South Wales above the name of the president of the College Students’ Association, is: ‘‘Victoria University College students protest at the arrests of Sydney students at an orderly demonstration.” The message sent to the Indonesian Foreign . Minister, Dr. Sjahrir, care Pandit Nehru, New Delhi, India, reads: “New Zealand students express solidarity in your struggle for Indonesian freedom.” It was signed “Socialist Club, Victoria University, Wellington.”
