CORRESPONDENT BLAMES DUTCH
INTENTION TO RETAIN POWER ALLEGED
(Rec.no pjn.) CHICAGO, July 27. Any disorder or lawlessness in Indonesia' had been created by the Dutch themselves, whose so-called police action was actually a fully-fledged military campaign, said Mr Harold R. Isaacs, Far Eastern correspondent for the magazine “Newsweek,” in a University of Chicago “Round Table” broadcast. He added that the Dutch intended to achieve their return to power in a form that would enable them to retain it as long as possible. A close associate of-Dr. van Mook (the Dutch Lieu-tenant-Governor) had quoted him recently as saying: “If we play our cards right we will be here for another 100 years.”
