ALLEGATIONS AGAINST COMMUNISTS
ACTIVITIES IN CANADA ■'Rec. 8.30 p.m.) MONTREAL. July 28. Mr J. S. Sullivan, who resigned from the presidency of the Canadian Seamen’s Union on March 15. issued a statement to-day alleging that the entire leadership oi the union consisted of members of the Canadian Communist Party, and that all Communist activity in Canada was directed from Matcew. _ After the statement was released, Mr Sullivan asked for police protection, because the "Communist Party as a whole is out to get me.” He added that his life had been threatened several times in recent weeks.
