A complaint that lights were switched on at the Heathcote Domain for football practice one night was made to the Heathcote County Council last week. It was explained that the Lyttelton Borough Council was making special reflectors and permission had been given to test them before the set was completed In view’ of the excellent power savings made in the ecunty (Heathcote riding having beaded the list) the council agreed to lights being used for practice on one nigh* a week at the domain About one unit of power was used, compared with hundreds more than the quota saved voluntarily, it was stated. "Worthwhile recreatior should be limited as little as possible With its additional saving, the county was in a different position from some other areas.
