CANTERBURY COLLEGE ORCHESTRA
Sir,—This evening 3YA announced that the Canterbury University College Orchestra was formed two years ago May I correct this error? It was formed in 1922 under the conductorship of Mr A. G. Thompson. It was conducted for 13 years by Miss Freda Marsden, whose last concert was in 1941. It was reformed two years ago by Dr Griffiths. It does not seem kind to ignore the earlier existence of the orchestra.—Yours, etc., C. L. MARTIN. Tai Tapu, July 23, 1947.
