ANIMALS’ HOME
Sir, —l understand that the Animals’ Protection Society’s home for lost and homeless animals, at Graham street, Woolston, has been closed, and that it was closed on June 25 of this year. Will Mr R. D. Martin, the president, publicly affirm or deny these statements, and so help to clear up the confusion that exists at present in the public mind.—Yours, etc., BEATRICE BARR. July 21. 1947. [Mr R. Martin, president of the Animals’ Protection Society, to whom the letter was referred, said: “The public can rest assured that the society is carrying on the humane work in connexion with lost, strayed and unwanted homeless 1 animals. Any statement on the home will be released later, as soon as it is available for publication.”]
