CRUELTY TO BIRDS
Sir, —I was surprised to see last Sunday at Beach road North Brighton, six young men each with a shanghai hunting out and killing defenceless little birds Apart from the danger of people being hit and car windows broken, it is surely wanton cruelty- I am told it is vow unlawful to use a shanghai. Hoping these young men are. made an example of as a warning to others. —Yours, etc., R. LAWSON. July 21, 1947.
