REPORTED PLOT IN FRANCE
DE LARMINAT SAID TO BE INVOLVED SEVEN PERSONS ARRESTED (Rec. 7 p.m.) PARIS, July 2. It was officially announced after a meeting of the French Cabinet that General Edgar de Larminat, InspectorGeneral of the French Colonial Forces, had been dismissed. Unofficial reports say that he is concerned in the alleged plot to overthrow the Republic. So far seven persons have been arrested. They are Count de Vulpian, General Guillodit, Major LousteneauLacau, Roger Prat, an air force officer who, it is alleged, was detailed to lead the plotters’ air attacks on Paris, Marc Jacquot, a mechanic, Pierre Lefevre, an industrialist, and Claude Chauval, aged 20. son of the secretary-general of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
