CHRISTCHURCH LINK WITH ENGLISH VILLAGE.—Shamley Green, a village in Surrey, where every householder recently received a food parcel from the Canterbury (N.Z.) Travel Club. The parcels were distributed by Mr J. Rooper, head of a shipping firm, and Mrs Rooper, who visited Christchurch and were the guests of the Travel Club some years ago. The photograph, which shows the village green, where cricket is played on Saturday afternoons was sent in appreciation of the club’s generosity.
